Job Description
Role & responsibilities 1.Technical Skills Blade/FRP Repair Techniques: Expertise in composite material repairs, including fiberglass, epoxy, and polyester resins. Damage Assessment: Ability to detect and assess cracks, delamination, erosion, lightning damage, and structural defects. Surface Preparation: Sanding, cleaning, and preparing blade surfaces for repairs and coatings. Structural Bonding: Understanding adhesives and reinforcement applications for structural repair. NDT (Non-Destructive Testing): Familiarity with ultrasonic testing, thermography, and visual inspection: Optional Blade Aerodynamics: Awareness of how blade design affects turbine performance and energy efficiency. 2. Safety and Compliance Skills Working at Heights: GWO (Global Wind Organization) certifications in First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, and Working at Heights or platform work. Electrical Safety Awareness: Understanding safe practices around energized systems and LOTO (Lockout-Tagout) procedures. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Competence in using PPE for high-risk environments. Compliance: Knowledge of environmental and workplace safety regulations. 3. Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge Familiarity with wind turbine components, lift operations and basic knowledge about electrical. 4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Root cause analysis of blade failures and damage. Proficiency in diagnosing repair feasibility and implementing corrective measures. 5. Soft Skills Communication: Clear reporting and documentation of inspection and repair work. Teamwork: Collaborating with engineers, site managers, and technicians. Adaptability: Ability to handle varying site conditions, weather challenges, remote locations, Pan India locations and travel. 6. Physical Requirements Good physical fitness and stamina for prolonged outdoor work. Comfortable working in confined spaces and at high altitudes. 7. Certifications (Preferred) GWO (Global Wind Organization) certifications in First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, and Working at Heights NDT certification (Level I or II) IRATA or SPRAT certification for rope access: OptionalMore Info
