Job Title: Software Test Engineer Location: Jubilee Hills - Hyderabad Experience: 3+ years Type: Full-Time, Work from Office Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and passionate Software Test Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in manual testing, writing test cases, and automating web and API tests. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of testing methodologies, and the ability to deliver high-quality software products. Familiarity with Playwright or Postman for automation is essential, and prior experience in automation is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Manual Testing: Execute manual tests and ensure software functionality and stability. Identify, report, and track bugs to resolution. Test Case Development: Write, maintain, and improve detailed and comprehensive test cases that ensure full coverage of application functionalities. Familiarity to use TestRail is an advantage. Web Automation: Develop and execute automated test scripts using Playwright to validate web applications across multiple browsers and devices. API Automation: Use Postman or similar tools to create and run automated API tests, ensuring the reliability and performance of back-end services. Defect Reporting: Identify defects and inconsistencies, log them in bug-tracking tools like JIRA, and work with developers for resolution. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product managers, to clarify requirements and ensure robust test coverage. Test Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and automation scripts. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing processes and automation strategies. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years in manual 7 automation testing with a focus on web and API testing. Test Case Writing: Proven ability to write high-quality, well-structured test cases that thoroughly test all aspects of the application. Experience with Postman or similar tools for API automation. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and analyze defects. Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Experience (Preferred): Hands-on experience in automation testing and experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
