QA Automation Engineer Platform Migration & AI Feature Testing

Role Summary

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with 3 - 4 years of experience to test and validate platform migration from Java to Python and ensure new AI-powered features work reliably.

The engineer will help test APIs, workflows, reports, user journeys, and AI-based functionality such as chatbots, search, and recommendation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and execute test plans, test cases, and regression suites.
• Perform API testing for Python and existing Java services.
• Validate migrated functionality to ensure no business process is broken.
• Automate testing of backend APIs and critical workflows.
• Test AI-powered modules such as chatbots, recommendation engines, resume generation, and semantic search.
• Validate AI output quality, response accuracy, and edge cases.
• Work with product and development teams to identify and reproduce issues.
• Document bugs clearly and track them through closure.
• Participate in release testing and production validation.
• Ensure testing includes security, privacy, and data handling checks.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in manual and automation testing.
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Understanding of regression testing and defect tracking.
• Basic understanding of SQL and backend systems.
• Familiarity with Git and test documentation.
• Ability to test REST APIs and JSON responses.
• Basic understanding of AI-enabled applications and how to validate outputs.
• Good analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Python-based testing frameworks such as PyTest.
• Familiarity with testing FastAPI or Flask applications.
• Experience testing LMS, HRMS, or enterprise workflows.
• Awareness of prompt testing, AI guardrails, hallucination checks, and response evaluation.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools.
• Exposure to automation in CI/CD pipelines.

Experience

3 - 4 years of experience in QA or test automation.
Candidates with experience testing APIs, enterprise software, or AI-enabled products will be preferred.
