Role Overview As a Data Protection Intern, you will assist the [Data Protection team, in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and best practices. This role offers hands-on experience in implementaion of Tool, Define & safeguarding sensitive data, supporting compliance efforts, and developing an understanding of data privacy laws like GDPR, DPDPA or other relevant frameworks. Key Responsibilities Assist in the implementation and monitoring of DLP Solutions, Configuring data protection policies, procedures, and practices. Conduct research on global data privacy regulations and their impact on company operations. Conduct Data flow analysis activity to identify Organization sensitive data. Assist in performing data protection impact assessments (DFA) and audits. Help with incident management processes, including logging and tracking data breaches. Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the secure handling of personal data. Support training and awareness programs on data protection and privacy for employees. Maintain records of data processing activities and ensure compliance with relevant documentation requirements. Requirements Education: Enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field. Knowledge: Basic understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and privacy principles. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with data protection tools or software is a plus. Attitude: Enthusiastic about learning, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Preferred Qualifications Prior coursework or certifications in data protection or cybersecurity (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, or similar). Familiarity with data privacy technologies, such as encryption and data Protection. Experience in a compliance, legal, or IT-related role is a plus but not mandatory.
