Job Description

Accountabilities: Assist in the design and implementation of security architectures across various platforms (cloud, on-premises and hybrid). Assist in the integration and deployment of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), identity and access management (IAM), and encryption tools. Develops, reviews, and approves installation requirements for networks, servers and applications. Review architecture diagrams and data flow diagrams, providing sign-off to ensure they meet security standards and best practices. Support efforts to comply with industry standards and regulatory frameworks (ISO, SOC, NIST, etc.), ensuring the security posture meets these requirements. Provide recommendations for security solutions, ensuring they align with best practices and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure security is integrated into system designs and deployments. Mentor junior security team members, providing guidance on security practices and architectural principles. Determines security protocols by evaluating business strategies and requirements. Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to ensure security initiatives are understood and implemented effectively. Communicate security concepts and architecture strategies to technical and non-technical audiences. Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging security practices and standards, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations. Document security architecture standards, guidelines, and procedures. Education / Experience / Other Information Bachelor’s or master degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 7 – 9 year experience in Information Security 5+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on security architecture or related fields. Experience in designing and implementing security solutions in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure). AWS Certified Solutions Architect and Azure Solutions Architect certifications are highly desirable. CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certifications are mandatory Security Architecture certifications (e.g., SABSA, TOGAF) are a plus. Cloud certifications are a plus.
