As a Dhurin Banking Subject Matter Expert, you will add value by enriching the data science projects with the depth of business know-how . You to be the bridge between the data and technology teams. You will be primarily aligned to our Insight and Prediction team. This team solves both why this could be so? and how likely is this to happen? . They use both statistical inference and machine learning. Data speaks but it does not speak to everyone. As a SME, we expect that data speaks to you. That means you can spot and explain the nuances of data from various systems. Our current body of work is slightly heavier on financial services and retail. But other businesses such as healthcare and manufacturing are gaining traction too. Please do highlight your industry experience and comfort as you apply. Traits that will help you succeed: You have a fair grasp of systems such as loan origination system, CRM systems, credit bureau data, data marts, production systems. You don t get intimidated with new data types and problems You have an eye for detail and accuracy. You understand the big picture of the business Your work will involve some, if not all, of the below: Data analysis - involving pulling data, running analyses, and presenting findings Create and/or review meta-data and data dictionaries Good to have, but not a requirement: Some knowledge of version control Educational background: Domain knowledge is more important than a formal educational background. Having said that a certification, or MBA will not hurt. Programming and database knowledge: SQL
