Job Summary: The Placement Manager & Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating successful career outcomes for our graduating students. This involves developing and implementing effective placement strategies, building strong industry relationships, and providing comprehensive career guidance to students. Key Responsibilities: Industry Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential employers in the hospitality industry (hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise lines, airlines, catering companies, etc.). Conduct industry research and identify potential recruitment partners. Organize and participate in industry events such as job fairs, seminars, and workshops. Schedule and conduct company presentations and guest lectures. Negotiate training and placement opportunities with employers. Student Career Guidance: Conduct career counseling sessions with students, assisting them with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies. Organize and deliver workshops on professional skills such as communication, teamwork, and presentation skills. Guide students on choosing career paths and setting realistic career goals. Maintain accurate records of student placements and career outcomes. Track student job search progress and provide necessary support. Placement Process Management: Coordinate the entire placement process, including student registration, job postings, and interview scheduling. Develop and implement a robust placement tracking system. Prepare and disseminate placement statistics and reports. Ensure compliance with all relevant placement policies and procedures. Training & Development: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hospitality recruitment and placement. Participate in professional development programs to enhance placement skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is mandatory. Minimum 1+ years of experience in a placement role, preferably in a higher education institution or within the hospitality industry. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Strong networking and relationship-building abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
