Job Description
Role Overview:
The Industrial Sales Engineer is responsible for driving sales of industrial products by combining technical expertise with strong sales skills. The role involves identifying customer needs, offering suitable solutions, and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial segments (OEMs, distributors, end-users)
- Promote and sell industrial products
- Understand customer technical requirements and recommend appropriate products/solutions
- Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions with clients
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals and quotations
- Negotiate pricing and close sales deals
- Coordinate with internal teams (application, logistics) for order execution
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and ensure repeat business
- Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business growth
Key Skills Required:
- Strong technical understanding of industrial products
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle B2B sales and client interactions
- Problem-solving and solution-oriented approach
- Willingness to travel extensively
Qualifications:
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field
- MBA (Sales/Marketing) is an added advantage
Experience:
- industrial / B2B sales , OEM sales, Channel sales
Preferred Background (for your company use):
- Exposure to OEM and distributor network
