Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive TradePes business growth by identifying new opportunities, acquiring clients, and building strong relationships with exporters, importers, and corporate partners.
This role is responsible for generating revenue, expanding market presence, and ensuring a strong sales pipeline through strategic client engagement and consultative selling.
This is a high-impact role focused on client acquisition, revenue growth, relationship management, and market expansion in the fintech and cross-border trade ecosystem.
Experience & Skills
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development, corporate sales, B2B sales, or client acquisition, preferably in fintech, banking, SaaS, trade finance, or cross-border business environments.
- Proven experience in generating new business opportunities and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, consultative selling, and relationship management.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with CXOs, founders, exporters, importers, and corporate decision-makers.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales reporting.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Drive new client acquisition through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
- Identify and develop business opportunities with exporters, importers, SMEs, and enterprise clients.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline and ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.
- Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations, and consultative sales discussions to understand business requirements.
- Coordinate closely with inside sales, operations, onboarding, and compliance teams to ensure smooth client conversion and onboarding.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand TradePe's market presence across industries and geographies.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and sales activity reports.
- Track sales performance metrics, conversion ratios, and revenue forecasting.
- Represent TradePe at industry events, trade expos, networking forums, and client meetings.
- Build long-term client relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling TradePe solutions.
- Provide structured market intelligence and customer feedback to leadership, product, and marketing teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor activities within the fintech and trade ecosystem.
