We Are Hiring | Manager Business Development (T&D Consultancy)
As part of our continued growth in the Power & Process business, ISSPL is seeking an experienced and result-driven Manager – Business Development (Transmission & Distribution Consultancy). This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong techno-commercial expertise and a proven ability to develop, position, and win large-scale consultancy assignments in the power sector.

Education & Experience
- Qualification: BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering
- Experience:
- 10–12 years of relevant experience in Transmission & Distribution projects
- Prior exposure to PMC, Independent Engineer, O&M, or consultancy-based assignments
- Strong background in business development, sales, or client acquisition within the energy or infrastructure domain
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with T&D utilities, EPC contractors, and government bodies
- Track upcoming projects and assess opportunities at early planning and tender stages
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers, key stakeholders, and strategic partners
- Manage the end-to-end sales pipeline, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and closure
- Lead the preparation of EOIs, tenders, and RFP responses, coordinating with technical, commercial, and tendering teams
- Prepare and negotiate technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives
- Leverage strong understanding of:
- Power transmission and distribution networks
- EHV/HV substations and transmission lines
- Grid modernization initiatives and renewable energy integration
- Drive achievement of order intake and revenue growth targets, with focus on high-value consultancy assignments
- Work closely with execution teams to identify and deploy appropriate PMC and project resources in line with client expectations
- Represent the organization at client meetings, industry forums, and networking events
